Magnetic Sensors

Active Hall Effect sensors vary with magnetic field intensity

Vibrance Solutions offers several magnetic sensors for automotive and positioning applications in Northern California from their principals FW Bell and SSI Technologies.

Hall Effect Magnetic SensorsHall Effect sensors are a type of semi-conductor that produces a linear voltage output in relation to magnetic field intensity when a constant current is applied to the sensor. Hall Effect sensors are popular in industry for such purposes as sensing rotors of brushless motors and in other applications where contactless sensing of moving mechanical components is required. Hall Effect sensors are immune to environmental conditions that easily effect electro-mechanical type sensors that they replace. Typical industries served with FW Bell magnetic sensors include the leading suppliers to the aerospace, medical, automotive, instrumentation, research, alternative energy, and industrial fields.

Magnetic Sensor use active Hall EffectSSI Technologies designs, developments and manufactures passive (Variable Reluctance) and active (Hall Effect or Magneto-Resistive) magnetic sensors. SSI has over 25 years of experience providing magnetic sensing solutions that meet the specific needs of OEM customers. Their typical magnetic sensor applications include:Vehicle Speed, Camshaft Position, Crankshaft Position Sensors, Wheel Speed Sensors, (in conjunction with Antilock Braking Systems (ABS)), transmission Speed Sensing and Angular and Linear Position Sensing.
