Acuity laser displacement sensors vary in range from a few millimeters to hundreds of meters. Versatile in their industry applications, the sensors are found in factory automation, precision machine builders (OEM's), forest products, metals industries, semiconductors, general research and many other areas where dimensions or distances must be accurately measured.

 

Acuity's laser scanners capture two-dimensional profile and contour information on target surfaces. The information collected is analyzed by software to calculate heights, thickness, widths, lengths, gaps, surface slopes, hole diameters and much more. These scanners track encoders to produce 3D data files.

 

Confocal sensors use a collimated beam of white light to accurately measure surface displacements or even thickness of transparent materials.
